FAQs

Beds

Whilst there are two bedrooms available, each sleeping two people, we have a double sofa bed available downstairs and a single sofa bed which can be moved to other rooms also. We can also provide an extra zed bed on request. Over 4 people staying will incur a small extra charge to cover the laundry cost.

Accessibility

The cottage has steep steps up to the patio and front door and steep steps internally. We therefore cannot recommend it for those with limited mobility.

Children's Safety

There are uneven surfaces, open stairs and the patio edge is only protected by plant pots, so young children will need supervision. We have two stair gates available for use.

Shops

There are no shops in Portwrinkle. There is a very small shop in Crafthole at the top of the hill open in the mornings only. The nearest supermarkets are found in Torpoint, Saltash or Liskeard, which you can arrange to deliveries from. We provide a few breakfast essentials so you don't get caught out and you are welcome to use any supplies left over from the family in the cupoboards.

Pets

We do not allow pets at the cottage (not even small friendly dogs!), which means that those with pet allergies will be fine at the cottage. We are non dog owners and there are many other places which do allow dogs.

Beach supplies

We have body boards and buckets and spades available for use. Please bring your own beach towels.

Parking

We supply parking permits for the shared spaces in front of the cottage, provided at the same price we are charged by the council. Charging time is 9am - 5pm. These spaces are shared and therefore not guaranteed. There is also the car park 50 yards away which costs £6 per day (in cash NOT card)

Pubs

The nearest watering hole is the Finnygook Inn at the top of the hill in Crafthole. They also do good food, booking recommended. Live music also.
